Purpose

The purpose and goal of the DeKalb Agriculture Technology & Environment, Inc technology program is to support and facilitate learning using instructional technologies.To ensure that all learners are provided access, opportunity and resources to develop into responsible users, consumers, and producers of technology.

DeKalb Agriculture Technology & Environment, Inc technology program will prepare technology literate students to be lifelong learners who make informed decisions about the role of technology in their lives. Students should have the opportunity to develop technology skills that support learning, personal productivity, decision making, and daily life.

Dekalb Agriculture Technology and Environment Inc (DATE) believes that access to technology is both critical to the success of every student and should not be a barrier to student achievement. We know that technology enhances student learning and also prepares our students for a world that is driven by technology. As part of our continued commitment to close the achievement gap and ensure our students’ future success, we are proud to offer a 1:1 Chromebook program, which provides a HP Chromebook to every DATE student who participates.

Technology Help Desk

If you are having any technical issues with your device, or if you need to report a lost, stolen or damaged device, please see the information below for the options for contacting our Support Desk. After consultation, either via phone or email with our IT staff, any one or more of the following may occur:

  • The IT Team may ask to remote into your device to troubleshoot and repair
  • The IT Team staff member may ask you to schedule an appointment and bring the device to the school for repair
  • If a timely repair is not possible, the IT Team staff member may issue you a loaner device until the repair is complete
  • If the damage was a result of vandalism, please complete the help desk protocols listed below and contact your building administration. The school will work with you to assess damage, responsibility and potential fees.

Exciting News!
We’re excited to announce that our charter school will be implementing SchoolAI for both teachers and students this year. This powerful tool will support personalized learning, streamline classroom tasks, and enhance how we teach and learn. We look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on our school community!

Newline Interactive Flat Panels

We’re excited to share that our classrooms will be equipped with Newline  Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs) for teacher use. These smart boards will enhance instruction, increase engagement, and support interactive learning across all grade levels.

Lightspeed

We’re excited to announce that our school will be using Lightspeed to support both teachers and students. This platform will enhance classroom management, ensure safe online learning, and provide powerful tools for engagement and digital instruction.

Infinite Campus

We’re pleased to announce that our school uses Infinite Campus as our student information system. Families can access grades, attendance, schedules, and more—all in one place. Stay connected and informed throughout the school year!

Google Classroom

Our school uses Google Classroom to keep students connected and organized. Teachers post assignments, resources, and announcements in one easy-to-access place. Students can log in with their school email to stay up to date with classwork and communicate with their teachers.
