Dr. Taylor has served the students and families of DeKalb County for the last 17 years. After teaching English/language arts and social studies for 6 years, Dr. Taylor became an assistant principal in a premier DeKalb middle school. There, her responsibilities included discipline, coordinator of standardized assessments, and instruction. These experiences allowed Dr. Taylor to gain a wealth of knowledge about meeting the holistic needs of children. She is most passionate about working with educators in areas of curriculum, instruction and assessments.

In the Fall of 2014, Dr. Taylor joined the D.A.T.E. family as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. In this capacity, she has been an asset to the administrative team and staff by building upon the many innovative instructional practices that have been recognized as the “D.A.T.E. Way”. One of the most notable practices instituted by Dr. Taylor include D.A.T.E. Diamonds – a new teacher professional development cohort. This program is designed to support teachers as they become acclimated to the unique charter school environment and the successful practices that has made D.A.T.E. one of the well sought after academic institutions in DeKalb County.

Dr. Taylor’s educational background in degrees from Clark Atlanta University (B.A. in Mass Media Arts; M.Ed. in Middle Grades Education); Howard University (M.A. in Educational Psychology); and Argosy University (Ed.S. and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership).

When not busy at D.A.T.E., Dr. Taylor enjoys being a parent, spending time with family and friends and supporting the Atlanta Falcons!
