Mr. G. Jones
George Jones is a Technical Architect Manager with Accenture’s Client Delivery and Operations group, responsible for driving high performance technical teams through tough client challenges by providing technology innovation and operation services. In addition, Mr. Jones serves Dekalb Academy as the Scoutmaster of Troop 1833 with 22 Scouts. As an advocated for process and governance, Mr. Jones leverages experience in Agile, Waterfall and the Scrum Delivery models to manage timelines, personal and seven figure budgets for multiple projects. Prior to assuming his current role in 2008, Mr. Jones was Dekalb Academy Webelo Den lead for Pack 1833 with approximate 16 Webelos.
From 2002 to 2008, Mr. Jones was an Accenture Associate Manager in Enterprise Software Development and Application Delivery specializing in Telecom, Cable and High Tech Industries. Mr. Jones worked with several Fortune 500 companies both US and overseas to implement multiple Web, Mobile and DevOps based application solutions leveraging his expertise in Java Enterprise Platform and Software Developer and Software industry best practices.
Before joining Accenture in 2002 Mr. Jones work with several Atlanta based IT startups as a Software Engineer. Mr. Jones also worked with the USDA Natural Resources Conservations Service as Soil Conservationist-intern where he found this desire to become a Software Developer. Formal education with Morris Brown College with a bachelor’s in Computer Information Sciences.
A lover of the outdoors, Mr. Jones enjoys Camping, Hiking and Cycling. Mr. Jones lives in Dekalb County with his wife and 3 children.
